MOHAMED Nasser Ismail

Nasser is Global Head of Equity Capital Markets at SGX. In his current role, he is responsible for marketing and attracting companies to list on either the SGX Mainboard or Catalist listing platforms. His responsibilities include the development of various equity capital market initiatives to provide greater fund raising services as well as further deepening the capital markets ecosystem in Singapore. He is also spearheading various policy and platform initiatives related to the capital markets.Prior to assuming his present responsibilities in 2014, Nasser helmed the Issuer Regulation Unit where he oversaw the review of listing applications as well as monitored the ongoing compliance of listed companies with the Listing Rules. He had also led various units in the course of his career in SGX, including Enforcement, Regulatory Development & Policy as well as Legal & Compliance. Before joining SGX in 2005, Nasser served as a Deputy Public Prosecutor with the Attorney-General’s Chambers.He is presently serving as a Board member of Enterprise Singapore and also an Appeals Board member of the Islamic Religious Council.
